Ambassador program extends to second UW campus
The WBA campus ambassador program is expanding to a second campus after its pilot year at UW-Oshkosh. Two students at UW-Whitewater will serve as WBA ambassadors starting in the fall semester. Manitowoc stations’ employees, listeners make holiday donations
A group of Manitowoc area radio stations held a holiday donation drive to benefit a local sexual assault shelter. Over two weeks Seehafer Broadcasting collected 300 items from listeners and employees to benefit InCourage, the Manitowoc County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center. The radio group includes WLKN, WCUB, WLTU, WOMT, WQTC, and WEMP.

More than $100K raised in holiday campaign
Two Wausau TV stations raised more than $100,000 to break a record in its annual Share Your Holidays campaign. Former Wausau anchor, lawmaker dies
Historic TV news anchor, WBA Hall of Famer, and former Wisconsin State Senator Walter John Chilsen has died. Chilsen was a news broadcaster in Wausau and served six terms in the Wisconsin State Senate. He died on Christmas Day at the age of 95. Chilsen began his career in 1949 at WLIN radio in Merrill.…
