WTMJ-AM and 94.5 KTI COUNTRY announced Tuesday that WLS General Sales Manager Bill Herriott will join the stations as Director of Sales and National Sales Manager. Herriott will lead the revenue team for WTMJ and WKTI and will also concentrate on Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers networks.
“Bill is a dedicated, mature, battle-tested, experienced leader who knows how to accomplish goals in a very competitive marketplace – and he most certainly understands how to lead at legendary stations like ours,” said Tom Langmyer, vice president and general manager for Scripps Radio in Milwaukee and vice president, news/talk/sports for E.W. Scripps. “Bill has driven strong results, selling major league teams. I saw this firsthand at WGN in Chicago with the Cubs, Blackhawks and other team partners – and it will be great to see what he’ll do here with the Packers and Brewers.”
Herriott has nearly 20 years of sales leadership experience, including serving as Local Sales Manager at WGN Radio in Chicago, Director of Sports Sales for WGN-TV Chicago and as Sales Manager at WBBM-AM Chicago. Herriott is a native of the suburbs of Chicago.
“WTMJ and WKTI are legendary brands in Wisconsin and beyond,” said Bill Herriott. “It’s unbelievable that one opportunity combines these major stations with the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Milwaukee Bucks.”
He starts in his new role on Oct. 9.
Current KTI COUNTRY General Sales Manager Eric Lauer has been promoted to General Sales Manager for both WTMJ and WKTI.
“Eric has already made a big difference with our WKTI team – and he’s earned the opportunity to formally bring his passion and knowledge to the WTMJ team, as well,” Langmyer said.
Lauer joined Scripps as the General Sales Manager for WKTI in September 2016 from Cox Media Group in Jacksonville, Florida.
