WBA slate of officers, directors announced

The WBA Nominating Committee has set a slate of officers and directors for consideration by the WBA general membership.

As provided by WBA by-laws, Anna Engelhart, Allen Media, Madison, the current WBA Vice Chair and Chair-Elect, will automatically be elevated to the position of Chair of the Board at the 2026 WBA General Membership meeting. The committee made the following nominations, which will be voted upon by the general membership during the WBA Summer Conference in June.

Officers

Vice Chair – Radio, Chair Elect: Randy Hawke, Mid-West Family, Madison
Vice Chair – TV: Anne Brown, WDJT-TV/CBS & Telemundo, Milwaukee
Treasurer: Colleen Valkoun, iHeartMedia, Milwaukee
Secretary: Chris Palmer, WKBT-TV, La Crosse

Two-Year Director Terms

Director (TV – NW District): Jessica Laszewski, WSAW-TV, Wausau
Director (TV – SW District): Scot Chastain, WISC-TV, Madison
Director (TV – NE District): Terry Stevenson, Seehafer Broadcasting, Manitowoc
Director (Radio – SE District): Greg Scalzo, Good Karma Brands, Milwaukee

Serving a one-year remainder of a two-year term:

Director (TV – SE District): Shawn Oswald, WISN-TV, Milwaukee

Mid-term Directors not facing re-election include:

The WBA Board of Directors will also include Judson Beck, WFRV-TV, Green Bay who will serve as ex-officio Past Chair.

At-large Directors are appointed by the Board; the committee recommended the Board appoint; Peter Tanz, Midwest Communications, Green Bay; Cory Gylock, WLAX-TV/WEUX-TV, La Crosse/Eau Claire; and reappoint Eric Voight, Results Broadcasting, Shawano.

At-large mid-term Director not facing re-election: Terry Davis, Radio Plus, Fond du Lac; David Lee, WUWM-FM, Milwaukee to the non-commercial seat; and Juan Galdamez, Xperi Corporation, Washington DC to the Associate member seat.

In addition, Jeanna Berge, iHeartMedia, Eau Claire, remains on the board as an ex-officio member, per her seat on the NAB Board, according to WBA bylaws.
