
A TV station and radio group in northeast Wisconsin teamed up to raise more than $100,000 for hurricane relief through the American Red Cross.
WBAY-TV 2 and radio stations owned by Woodward Radio Group held an 18-hour “media-thon” on Sept 14 in which viewers and listeners donated $108,127 by sending donations via phone, text messages, online and at Community First Credit Union locations.
JJ Keller Foundation kicked off the event with a $35,000 matching donation.
Woodward Radio Group stations include: 105.7 WAPL, 1150 WHBY, 95.9 KISS FM, Razor 94.7, KZ 104.3 and 95.3 The Score.
