After more than 40 in local television, and 21 years at WEAU-TV in Eau Claire, Terry McHugh is retiring as Vice President and General Manager.

“My career here in Eau Claire, it’s always been about community and our staff,” McHugh said.

As the leader of a news organization that served the Chippewa Valley and western Wisconsin, McHugh embraced that responsibility during times of crisis and tragedy. His ‘community first’ focus is evident in the more than 400 non-profit organizations WEAU has helped out.

“We take so much out of the community as far as advertising, it’s our way of giving back,” McHugh said. “I’ve always felt we take care of our clients, our viewers and our community, we’ll win. And by us giving back to the community, we’ve helped 400 non-profit organizations and events in getting their word out on the air.”
