Station gathers cold weather gear to help families

A central Wisconsin television station collected more than 2,000 coats, boots, scarves and hats during its inaugural Warm Up Wisconsin campaign.

WAOW led a campaign with assistance from other Wausau area businesses.

The donations will help families in need throughout Wisconsin.

The campaign wrapped up Dec. 9.
