Morgan Murphy Media will broadcast 13 Milwaukee Brewers games in two Wisconsin markets in a new partnership with the team and Good Karma Brands.
WISC-TV in Madison and WKBT-TV in La Crosse and Eau Claire will broadcast the games to viewers in southcentral and western Wisconsin free for the viewer bringing local Major League Baseball games back to local TV.
“We are thrilled to bring these games to Wisconsin viewers at no cost,” said executive vice president and chief operating officer Brian Burns. “It’s exciting to see MLB recognize the value in reaching new audiences and on platforms that are free for the consumer. We know this will build on the significant fan base across the state.”
In addition to the regular season schedule, the stations will broadcast three spring training games. All games will be offered on the main, in-market CBS affiliate or on the station’s digital sub-channel, 3.2 in Madison or 8.2 in La Crosse/Eau Claire.
Milwaukee-based radio broadcaster Good Karma Brands secured the television broadcast rights for games across Wisconsin and has partnerships with other local TV stations in the Brewers broadcast area.
“We are extremely excited to partner with the Milwaukee Brewers and all of the Wisconsin affiliates to offer Brewers baseball to fans across the state.” said Greg Scalzo, Vice President & Market Manager of Good Karma Brands Milwaukee. “This is an incredible opportunity to deliver free access to our communities across the state, ensuring more fans cheer on the defending NL Central Champion Brewers all season long.”
