Life 102.5 (WNWC) listeners stepped up for another record-breaking year of generosity as they collected items for children at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison.
The station encouraged listeners to “bring joy to kids.” Listeners rallied to donate LEGO sets, activity books, Play-Doh, and other creative items to brighten the hospital stays of local children. With options to give through the hospital’s Amazon wish list, or in-person drop-offs at Life 102.5’s studio, the station described the response as extraordinary.
This year, 1,423 items were received.
“The station holds this drive every year around Valentine’s Day as a way to show God’s love and remind these kids that they are not alone.” said Steve Young, Life 102.5 station manager. “Typically, the hospital’s donation stock lasts until summer, but this year’s response will provide comfort, creativity, and smiles throughout the entire year!”
The station said it is grateful to every listener who was able to participate in this year’s drive.
