The Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council is looking for more information about the time it takes for newsrooms to have open records requests fulfilled.
There was anecdotal evidence presented at the meeting suggesting the wait times are getting longer. We would like to find out what you and your reporters are experiencing.
First, are you seeing longer waits? If so, on what types of records are you seeing the greatest delays and from what agencies? Contact Kyle Geissler with any observations.
The council is not proposing any remedies at this point, but would find this feedback valuable as it continues to study the issue.
