WFRV-TV’s Jaci Haakonson is retiring on March 3 after more than 21 years at the station.
Haakonson has been a part of the station’s programming and research departments and played key roles in the launch of Local 5 Live, the launch of local news and an affiliate change for WJMN-TV in Marquette, Michigan, and numerous systems transitions.
She also was involved in statewide sports networks supporting various Packer ancillary programs like “Locker Room,” “Green Bay Nation,” and “Green and Gold Game Day” airing across as many as 12 stations covering six states.
“Jaci’s deep knowledge, steady leadership, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on our station,” wrote WFRV-TV VP/General Manager Judson Beck. “Her contributions have shaped significant milestones and strengthened the operations of WFRV and our broader network.” Prior to joining WFRV-TV, Haakonson worked in a marketing role for an ad agency that placed local media on behalf of WFRV-TV, extending her relationship with the station to more than 40 years.
