WFRV-TV in Green Bay on Aug. 5 partnered with Festival Foods and the St. Joseph Food Program for a Storm Relief Food Drive.
Through broadcast promotions, WFRV.com, the WFRV+ Streaming CTV App, and live TV cut-ins from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., WFRV-TV talent and staff mobilized viewers to come out and donate.
The results included an 18-foot truck filled, $10,000 in donations and gift cards, and 12,072 pounds of essential items collected, helping more than 300 families.
The station staff also received hugs and heartfelt thank-you’ s from members of the community who told them they had been looking for a way to help their neighbors.
