Broadcasters build relationships at the State Capitol

In the News Legal & Legislative Issues

About 50 Wisconsin broadcasters gathered in Madison on Jan. 21 to talk to state lawmakers about legislative issues and how local radio and TV stations are serving their constituents.

Before making calls at the Capitol, broadcasters heard from Professor of Law and Public Policy at Marquette Law School, Chares Franklin, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, and Assembly Minority Leader Great Neubauer.

Broadcasters talked to lawmakers about daylight savings time, anti-SLAPP legislation, open records, and how local broadcasters serve their communities, highlighting the 75th anniversary of the WBA.

Thank you to all the broadcasters who participated in this important event.
