Veteran broadcaster Matt Miller is joining the Big Radio on-air team in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
Miller joins Big Radio full-time as Morning Host on The Big Rock Q102 (WQLF-FM) and will also be heard on The Big FM 93.7 (WBGR-FM), the company’s flagship station. Big Radio is owned by father-and-son team Scott and Ben Thompson.
Miller has 40 years of broadcasting experience with a deep background in local radio, programming, and client production. Most recently, he served for ten years as general manager and morning host of Morning Light at a Christian Contemporary station in Rockford, Illinois. His career began at age 17 at heritage classic rocker WIBA-FM Madison, and includes on-air experience in AC, Country, Top 40, and Classic Rock formats across Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois.
“Matt’s experience, versatility, and commitment to local radio make him a great fit for Big Radio,” said Ben Thompson, CEO of Big Radio. “He understands how to connect with listeners and deliver real value for advertisers, and we’re excited to welcome him to our team.”
Miller will contribute across Big Radio’s 10-station cluster, providing on-air programming and client production support.
“I’m excited to join Big Radio full time and be part of a team that truly values local radio,” Miller said. ‘This is a great opportunity to continue learning, growing, and serving the communities we broadcast to.”
