This week’s Weekly Radio Addresses from Wisconsin’s Capitol are focused on manufacturing. These addresses are available for Wisconsin broadcasters to use as they see fit. Here are the summaries from WisPolitics:

— In this week’s Dem radio address, Gov. Tony Evers celebrates October as Manufacturing Month.

During his tenure, the Democratic governor has supported the Workforce Innovation Grant Program to open doors for people of all walks of life to get into industries like manufacturing.

“I look forward to continuing our support for this critical industry and the workers who power it,” he says.

Evers highlights manufacturing as producing 20 percent of the state’s total GDP and employing almost half a million Wisconsin Workers.

“Wisconsin is a global leader in manufacturing,” Evers says. “When people buy a product made in Wisconsin, they know it’s made by some of the best workers in the world.”

— In this week’s GOP radio address, Rep. Warren Petryk recognizes Wisconsin manufacturers.

The Town of Washington Republican highlights bipartisan celebration of the manufacturing industry.

“Hopefully, all my colleagues on both sides will continue to help out the programs that we can have an influence over,” he says.

Petryk also spotlights several manufacturers in his district were nominated for “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin,” an annual contest to highlight the diversity of manufacturers in Wisconsin.

“Jobs in that sector annually bring about 66,000 in excess to the folks that work in those facilities, which is really remarkable,” he says.
