This week’s Weekly Radio Addresses from Wisconsin’s Capitol are focused on state tourism and UW tuition. These addresses are available for Wisconsin broadcasters to use as they see fit. Here are the summaries from WisPolitics:

— In this week’s Dem radio address, Gov. Tony Evers celebrates the Wisconsin tourism industry and the money it brings to local businesses and communities. 

“In 2025, tourism brought in $27 billion – that’s billion with a ‘B’ – in economic impact to our state,” the Dem governor says. “That’s an average of about $74 million a day. Folks, that’s a really big deal because those are dollars that are spent in our local communities, on main streets, and at businesses all across our state.”

— In this week’s GOP radio address, Sen. Rob Hutton shares his disappointment with the Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents for raising tuition 2% for the 2026-27 school year. 

“Higher education remains one of the most important investments a person can make,” the Brookfield Republican says. “But as families are faced with rising costs on nearly everything, we owe it to the students and taxpayers to ask if our state is doing enough to make a UW education affordable and accessible.” Read the full story.
