— In this week’s GOP radio address, Rep. Shannon Zimmerman says his data center bill will “strike a balance of economic and strategic benefits while protecting Wisconsin’s interests.”

“Assembly Bill 840 regulates how data centers are built and operated throughout our state,” the River Falls Republican says. “This bill requires the Public Service Commission to make sure that any costs for building or expanding electric infrastructure that primarily serves a data center are paid for by the data center itself.”

— In this week’s Dem radio address, Gov. Tony Evers highlights the “Get Kids Ready” school readiness program, saying it prepares four-year-olds for school.

“As part of our budget, we created our state’s first-ever fully state-funded child care program, called Get Kids Ready,” the Dem governor says. “Get Kids Ready provides direct payments to our child care providers to help get four-year-olds ready for school, and providers can now apply to get enrolled for the 2026 school year at no cost.” Read the full story.
