This week’s Weekly Radio Addresses from Wisconsin’s Capitol discuss Veterans Day and a tax break for unborn children. These addresses are available for Wisconsin broadcasters to use as they see fit. Here are the summaries from WisPolitics:
— In this week’s Dem radio address, Gov. Tony Evers honors the 300,000 veterans living across the state with Veterans Day approaching.
“Every day, but especially as we honor Veterans Day, we reflect on how we can give back to our veterans and how we can support them just as they’ve supported us,” Evers says.
To bolster this support, Evers signed a budget earlier this year that included increases in funding for county and Tribal veteran services by 25 percent.
“We owe our nation’s heroes and their families a tremendous debt of gratitude,” he says.

— In this week’s GOP radio address, Sen. Romaine Quinn lauds the “Embrace Them Both” initiative.
The proposal is supposed to support new parents by expanding a tax break to unborn children and increasing the amount of the exemption, according to the Cameron Republican.
“Now more than ever, Wisconsin should champion the sanctity of life and the miracle of pregnancy,” he says.
The Senate passed this bill this week, and it’s now headed to the Assembly.
“Here we can take a step in the right direction to protect, uplift and embrace life at all stages,” Quinn says.
