WBA Diversity Statement
The Wisconsin Broadcasters’ Association (WBA) supports initiatives that improve diversity in broadcasting and creates new opportunities for women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and other underrepresented communities. Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is evident in our programs and partnerships with diverse leaders through the WBA’s Diversity Committee as well as other organizations and leaders in the state of Wisconsin.

The WBA Diversity Committee is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in all aspects of broadcasting to ensure that local stations accurately reflect the diversity in the communities they serve.
Statement of Purpose, as approved by the WBA Board, October 2020:
This committee will seek to expand the diversity of voices represented in conversations about issues related to broadcasting in Wisconsin. The primary focus will be on promoting diverse voices within the WBA through the WBA committee structure, with a view toward how those efforts will address systemic racism within broadcasting more broadly. Diversity in all forms should be promoted, including, but not exclusive to, consideration of ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, and physical and cognitive impairments.
