President of the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters
President and CEO of She Gets Success
In today’s fast-paced broadcasting world, many professionals are wearing multiple hats, juggling overlapping roles, and facing tighter deadlines than ever before. As stations downsize or shift responsibilities, the challenge isn’t just getting it all done—it’s getting the right things done, with less time and fewer resources.
This interactive workshop will help you rethink how you manage your time, prioritize your tasks, and stay focused under pressure. Whether you’re producing content, managing a team, handling sales, or all of the above, you’ll leave with practical tools and strategies to maximize your productivity, protect your energy, and reduce burnout.
This session is designed for anyone in broadcasting who feels stretched thin—and is ready to take back control of their time.

Myth vs. Reality: Overcoming the Biggest Objections to Buying Broadcast TV

An engaging presentation led by Brian Allers, TVB’s Executive Vice President of Business Development. This session aims to address common misconceptions about broadcast television and provide evidence-based responses to the biggest objections that sellers are facing right now.
Key points covered:
- Myth: People don’t spend time with television like they once did
- Myth: Streaming TV is bigger than traditional TV
- Myth: To build streaming budgets, you should just take $$ from broadcast schedules
- Myth: Lower Funnel Tactics are all advertisers need
- Myth: Everyone just gets their news from social media
Attendees will walk away with: - Clear, confident responses to the objections they hear every day
- A stronger understanding of how broadcast and streaming work together, not in competition
- Practical talk tracks backed by credible research and marketplace realities
- Renewed confidence to defend and grow broadcast TV budgets
This session is designed for sales teams and leaders who want to move from playing defense to controlling the narrative with advertisers.
Don’t miss the opportunity to equip yourself with the knowledge and tools to advocate for the enduring value of Broadcast TV in today’s media landscape.
The End of the Guessing Game: Real-Time AM/FM Measurement from the Vehicle

Radio today often relies on a “gut feeling,” outdated ratings, and small sample sizes. However, there are more than 60,000 vehicles on the road in Wisconsin today providing real-time data on AM/FM listening habits. This session will delve into how accessing in-vehicle consumption data within 24-hours can transform our understanding of listener behaviors for AM/FM broadcast radio.

Sam Ness Returns!

Sam Ness is returning to the 2026 WBA Summer Conference. This time leading the Sam Ness Trio. He was honored as the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Folk Performer of the Year this last year. The Sam Ness Trio will entertain during the reception with a few songs. Following dinner, the Trio will perform a concert featuring songs from Sam’s new album “Of Heart and Home.”
Mixing Traditional Folk/Americana roots with an Alternative-Indie feel, with a vault of international busking adventures and more than 1,300 shows under his belt, Sam’s catalog is steeped in authenticity.
