Michelle is a general assignment reporter and multimedia journalist for NBC15 News. Michelle cares about meaningful stories and using creativity to tell them visually. As a proud grad of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, she is excited to share what she knows to the next wave of storytellers.

Lyle is VP and General Manager for WISC-TV (News 3 Now), Channel3000.com, and Madison Magazine, in Madison. His impressive career has spanned more than 30 years and he’s held vital leadership positions at multiple broadcast stations along with owning his own interim management company.
VP of Business Development
Mid-West Family, Madison
Jerad started his career in La Crosse for Mid-West Family and has since traveled within the company to Springfield, Illinois and Madison. He’s currently the VP of Business Development in Madison and serves on the WBA’s Young Professionals Committee. His hobbies are hanging out with his 3-month-old son and enjoying the outdoors.
Evans has been in his current role for two years as the team lead on giveaways, events, and ESPN Digital campaigns. He is also the internship coordinator for all of Good Karma Brands Milwaukee primarily consisting of 94.5 ESPN, 620 WTMJ, and 101.7 The Truth. He attended Marquette University where he first got his start with GKB as an intern in 2018.
Sports Reporter/Weekend Sports Anchor
Leah was born and raised in Austin, Texas and moved to Wisconsin this summer when she accepted a position as a sports reporter and weekend sports anchor at NBC15 in Madison. Leah was excited about the new opportunity and challenge of covering high school sports, UW, the Packers, Bucks, Brewers and everything in between! She loves sharing her knowledge of the industry with students who are interested in the field.

Morgan Murphy Media (WISC-TV), Madison
Kate works for Morgan Murphy Media in Madison, WI as the Director of Talent and Team Development. She assists all of the MMM stations in finding top talent for their teams and identifies ways to help current employees grow in their skills as journalists and media professionals.
Tim has nearly 15 years of experience in the broadcast journalism field. From producer to news anchor, Tim has worked for five different newsrooms across the country. He’s currently the anchor of NBC15’s The Morning Show.
Sarah is the News Director of WISC-TV in Madison, the winner of the 2020 National Edward R. Murrow award for Overall Excellence. Sarah has spent her career working in Wisconsin TV stations as a News Director, Executive Producer, and a Producer.
Digital Manager, WEAU-TV, Eau Claire
Sports Broadcaster, iHeartMedia, Madison, Milwaukee, Eau Claire
Jimmie is the digital manager for WEAU 13 News in Eau Claire and sports broadcaster for iHeartMedia in Milwaukee, Madison, and Eau Claire for nearly 20 years. In addition, he is a freelance sports broadcaster for dozens of radio stations, schools, and video streamers across the Midwest. Jimmie is a recent graduate of UW-Superior, studying online and finishing a degree in journalism and mass media in the spring of 2021.
Dean has worked in broadcasting for more than four decades overseeing the production of more than 700 local television programs, documentaries, sports, news, entertainment, and even game shows. He currently is the Executive Producer of Project Pitchit, a statewide program on entrepreneurship. He welcomes students interested in local content creation.
Co-Founder of La Movida Radio, Madison
On Air Personality and Influencer
Together with her husband, Luis, Lupita started a Spanish weekend radio show in a small rural station in Poynette, WI, which eventually became the first and only Spanish radio station in south central Wisconsin. Lupita organizes radiothons to raise funds for local organizations. She is a co-host of the first Spanish TV show in the City of Fitchburg FACTtv channels.
Mike is a trainer/consultant for his own company, O’Brien Betterment, LLC. He consults radio stations in the areas of management, sales, and creative services. He has worked in radio advertising sales, sales management, training, and general management for more than 40 years. He enjoys mentoring future leaders in the broadcast industry.
Taylor is the 6 and 10 p.m. producer at WMTV NBC15 in Madison. She began working as a producer before graduating from UW-Eau Claire in 2019, then moved to Madison to start full-time. She’s a born and raised Wisconsinite!
Vanessa is a proud UW-Madison graduate, producer, and MMJ at NBC15 in Madison. She produces the 11 a.m. newscast and anchor live content from our OTT desk for digital coverage. I’m also a producer for the station’s podcast “Making Wisconsin: A History of the Badger State,” which I helped launch this fall.
Riggs is 50 percent of the Riggs & Alley Morning Show on 103.7 KissFM in Milwaukee. When he’s not on the radio, he’s advocating for mental health and suicide prevention through his own mental health organization “HeartHead” @HeartHeadHelps – which helps people make their first steps to talk therapy. He’s also a professional skydive instructor and videographer with more than 700 skydives to date.
Cumulus Media, Oshkosh
As Vice President of Cumulus Media in Oshkosh, John oversees WVBO FM 103.9, WPKR FM 99.5, WWWX FM 96.9, WNAM AM 1280 AM, and WOSH AM 1490. He previously served 13 years as Group Director for Gannett Wisconsin Media and 14 years in Chicago leading effective sales team in senior management positions. He wants to help students organize their skillsets and position themselves for success in a promising broadcasting career.
Erin oined the NBC 15 team in the fall of 2020 as a weekday anchor and reporter for The Morning Show. She previously worked in Joplin, Missouri as an anchor and reporter at the NBC affiliate KSNF. She was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communications from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2017.
Juliana is a Digital Producer with WMTV in Madison. She graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Convergence Journalism- Multimedia Production and a Minor in Spanish. Her past work experience includes an internship as a web producer with WGN News in Chicago, as well as a fellowship with Instagram.
Tim is the News Director at TMJ4 in Milwaukee. Tim joined the station in November of 2019 as Editorial Director, a role he remained in until becoming News Director in February of 2021. Tim is a 1998 graduate of Marquette University. He spent most of his career as a reporter with stops in markets such as Memphis, Kansas City, and Phoenix.
