KBJR-TV in beautiful Duluth, MN has an immediate opening for a bright, motivated and energetic weekend meteorologist for the Northland’s Weather Authority. You will be working with the latest MAX Weather System with MAX Storm (NEXRAD Level II Radar), MAX ENGAGE (for app and social media), and MAX Prism. Additional duties will include but are not limited to graphic creation, online media presence, weather system maintenance and live weather reporting. Here’s how it works. On the weekends the right candidate will be responsible for delivering the weather on the air. The candidate will embrace forecasting a challenging, large coverage area, take a leadership role in forecasting (especially during severe weather) and is committed to working as part of a team. Three days during the work week, you’ll be reporting on a variety of news stories. Your meteorology skills will likely be used often as we have a strong presence when it comes to inclement weather in the community. Knowledge of WSI Max , Avid iNews and Media Composer are a plus. Must have a degree in Meteorology. Duluth, MN is located on the shore of Lake Superior and is rich with everything from outdoor adventures to arts and entertainment year-round.
