RESPONSIBILITIES The executive producer works with the evening and night anchors, reporters and producers to create compelling newscasts worth watching. You must have a track record of excellence in producing and booth skills. This position oversees the creation of show rundowns, participates in story selection and oversees content, graphic use, pacing and the overall “look and feel” of the broadcast. The executive producer ensures reporters and photojournalists in the field meet newsroom standards for fairness, accuracy, ethics and style/presentation. They are responsible for ensuring producers, photographers and production staff consistently follow established expectations and guidelines and that newscast discrepancy reports are completed in a detailed manner. The Executive Producer is a key player in managing staff accountability. The Executive Producer develops and implements strategic goals in concert with other newsroom and station managers. QUALIFICATIONS: Six plus years of Newscast Producing, prior newsroom managing experience, a college degree in journalism or a related field.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Associate Producers help the broadcast and digital producers and assignment editors in all areas of their work: writing, tracking down information via phone or online, posting material to our digital platforms and do whatever is needed so the newscast and digital platforms can sparkle and shine. You will work our weekend assignment desk and do fill-in work as a newscast producer and digital producer. This is the path to becoming a full-fledged broadcast producer, digital producer or assignment editor. We have a long history of successfully mentoring people to take on one of these positions.

QUALIFICATIONS: If you like working weekdays 9 to 5, don’t bother applying.
