WEAU 13 News, the dominant station in Eau Claire, WI, is looking for a dynamic and imaginative news producer. We need someone who writes tight, compelling copy, and thinks outside the box. Our producers edit video and work closely with our anchors. They also post stories to our website, update our social media platforms.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Produce a creative and informative newscast with emphasis on the viewers’ interests
• Coordinate the writing and editing of scripts that incorporate video, nat sound and graphics to enhance storytelling
• Line-produce and time the newscast in the control room
• Adapt to breaking news and developing stories

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field is desired
• Must keep up on local, state, national and international events
