OVERVIEW: FOX 6 News is seeking a Weekday Reporter/Fill-In Anchor to join our team! We’re looking for someone who has the passion to pursue stories long before the competition and strives to be the lead every night both on-air and online!

RESPONSIBILITIES: You must be energetic and comfortable on the desk. You need to develop sources and have a passion for breaking news. You must be an engaging communicator who can connect with viewers! Great writing and storytelling skills along with the desire to be excellent in everything you do is a must!

QUALIFICATIONS: Live reporting skills and a minimum of 3 years of news experience is required. Being a team player who works well with photojournalists, editors, producers and managers is an absolute necessity. You must be able to show us your exceptional writing, live shot, and anchoring skills on one reel so send us your best work!

Executive Producer

OVERVIEW: We’re looking for that special person with vision and a passion for journalism to oversee our daily newscasts. The ideal candidate knows how to showcase the day’s top story, develop story ideas, respond to breaking news and weather and oh yeah….be great with people!

RESPONSIBILITIES: The EP works with anchors, reporters and producers to create compelling newscasts worth watching. You must have a track record of excellence in producing and booth skills. This position oversees the creation of show rundowns, participates in story selection and oversees content, graphics use, pacing and the overall “look and feel” of the broadcast. The executive producer ensures reporters and photojournalists in the field meet newsroom standards for fairness, accuracy, ethics and presentation. They are responsible for ensuring producers, photographers and production staff consistently follow established expectations and guidelines. The EP is a key player in managing staff accountability. You will be expected to develop and implement strategic goals in concert with other newsroom and station managers. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to be part of something special! RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the best in the business! We do promotable stories for our 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. newscasts 52 weeks a year. These promotable stories include Contact 6 reports on consumer issues affecting viewers. We work hard to help them get their problems solved. Our audience has come to rely on Contact 6 to assist in cases of fraud, scams and consumer disputes. You will also work with the investigative unit and manage the promotable story calendar. You will be called on to produce, write and gather material for other promotable stories. This position requires someone who is organized, detail oriented, takes initiative and has the ability to lead a group of highly motivated people to great things!

REQUIREMENTS: Qualified applicants must have a minimum of five years producing experience, either on newscasts or in field producing stories. Reporting experience is a huge plus and will be strongly considered, but this is not an on-air position. Strong storytelling and writing skills are a must.
