Engineering Supervisor

The Media Supervisor Advanced position is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of a wide range of predominately high power Radio Frequency electronic equipment and systems for the ECB including TV, Broadcast Interconnect, EAS, AMBER, FM, State/Federal All Hazards Radio, satellite downlink systems, and Wisconsin Public Radio facilities in Southern Wisconsin.  This position is responsible for all regional system and facility installation and maintenance activities in accordance with FCC rules and regulations and adhering to all contractual obligations while upholding the highest of safety and reliability standards. This position requires a variable, non-traditional work schedule including some nights and weekends. This position also requires frequent in-state travel. The selected applicant must possess or be able to obtain a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license or provide one’s own transportation accommodations.

Qualifications:   
Qualified applicants will have experience in professional verbal and written communications, customer service (e.g. working with internal and external stakeholders), operation and maintenance of broadcast equipment, and managing multiple tasks/projects.

In addition, well-qualified applicants will have experience in supervision or leadership of a professional working team and installation of broadcast equipment.

Job Summary:

iHeartMedia has an opening for a Broadcast Engineer based in the Milwaukee, WI area.
Candidates must have a background in broadcast engineering, IT, or electronics, including maintenance of broadcast automation and studio equipment, RF equipment, and computer/IT skills.       

  • Maintains overall broadcast electronic systems and related equipment for optimum transmission/broadcast performance, including transmitter, studio and IT equipment.
  • Responds to equipment outages, malfunctions, and related technical problems.  
  • Conducts diagnostic testing, repair and replacement activities.
  • Provides information technology solutions and services within the broadcast environment.
  • Documents equipment maintenance, repair, and replacements. Decides test equipment, parts, and related tools needed for use in maintenance and repair.
  • Installs, maintains, and supports satellite receivers and broadcast automation equipment.
  • Occasional travel to other iHeartMedia locations to assist in equipment installation or troubleshooting.
