April On Site Training
Mark “Sparky” Levy here and I am excited to let you know that your Wisconsin Broadcasters Association will be bringing me to the Country Springs Hotel in Waukesha on April 4 & 5 and to the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point on April 11 & 12 (each is Wednesday/ Thursday). Now I know what you’re thinking: “Big deal. What’s in it for me?” Fair question. Let me see if I can answer it. If you’re a seller, regardless of your level of expertise, you’ll want to attend “Growing Local Direct Skill Sets” held on the first day in each market. That’s because according to a recent webinar from Triton Digital, SMBs are expected to spend an average of $12,000 annually on advertising in 2012. And according to Borrell and Associates, SMBs also control 83% of all local advertising! So it stands to reason that no matter what you are selling: broadcast, digital, texting, or any combination thereof, improving your ability to sell these local direct businesses will help you close more business more often. “Growing Local Direct Skill Sets” is geared to help you do just that! In this fast-paced, interactive session, we’ll work on helping you develop and/or review skill sets to be better equipped to write more and larger orders more often. And if you are in sales, well, that’s probably pretty important to you! “But I’m not in sales. I’m in management.” Not to worry, we’ve got you covered too. Our second day in each market, “What Johnny Quest Knows About Management That You Should Know Too,” will help you better define what you do as a leader. We’ll cover what your job is (and isn’t), training topics and how to teach them, getting people to do what you need without you being viewed as a mootz, dealing with problems and more! Whether you’d like to improve your sales skills, management skills or both, I look forward to seeing you in April! FYI – the training itself will be provided FREE to WBA Members. However, we will be charging $25 per person (for one day) or $50 per person (for both days) to help subsidize our costs for continental breakfast, lunch, and breaks.
