Radio Marketing Professional Certification Seminar
Endorsed by the Radio Advertising Bureau
Underwritten by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Foundation
|
The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Foundation is offering a new
program to technical college and university students around the state.
The WBA Foundation has pledged its financial support so that students
can take advantage of the Radio Advertising Bureau’s (RAB) Certification
program to become a Radio Marketing Professional (RMP). The RMP
Certification is beneficial if students want to work in broadcast sales
or a related business and marketing area. Even if students are not
interested in sales or marketing, the seminar introduces them to the
business portion of media and helps them to understand how media sales
relates to programming decisions, including those involving news
broadcasting.
The objectives of the WBA Foundation in offering this opportunity are to
certify students to be RMP’s and to expand awareness of the advantages
of a career in broadcast sales among Wisconsin college students.
The benefits to students include: an opportunity to take the RMP exam on
their campus; a greatly reduced rate for the RMP course and exam; expert
assistance with exam material from a veteran instructor; acquisition of
the RMP certification to add to their resume; additional broadcast sales
knowledge to supplement what is being taught in the college classroom;
and if desired, their names sent to stations around the state indicating
that they passed the RMP exam.

only $25. This fee includes materials, refreshments, and the
