WKBT-TV is accepting applications for a full-time entry level broadcast engineer. Daily responsibilities include equipment and electrical problem-solving and repair under deadline pressure as well as facility maintenance. Relevant IT and support-related work experience. SBE Certification is a plus, but not mandatory. Organizational/documentation skills and emphasis on customer service a must. Position reports to Chief Engineer and requires emergency and occasional on-call duty. Valid driver’s license required. Operations Technician

WKBT-TV is accepting applications for a full-time Operations Technician. This person will assure that facilities are working efficiently and in good repair. Job duties will require basic knowledge of building upkeep & maintenance. This is a position for a self-starter who is able to work with little supervision. We will train you to troubleshoot technical problems quickly and efficiently, work with facility systems and computerized records. This position also is a backup Master Control Board Operator and will be required to keep up with all the required changes in the automation system. Good organizational and documentation skills, along with an emphasis on customer service will get you to the front of the line. Any experience with electronics or broadcast equipment repair and maintenance would be helpful, but not required. You must be willing to work flexible hours which will sometimes include nights, weekends & holidays.
